EXHIBITIONS: The Collection will provide support for selected artists to mount exhibitions of their work.  This will enable the wider art audience to experience the work of new and unrecognised artists and will also enable the realisation of those artists’ ambitions in the world beyond their institutional beginnings.

ACQUISITIONS: The Acquisitions program will collect the works of artists at the moment of their first recognition independent of art schools and the formal education system.  These works, produced at the initiation of an independent creative life, will provide critical historical links for future understanding of the artists’ oeuvre.  Acquired works will be fully documented and managed by the Collection’s Sydney facility in accordance with the highest museum standards.

COMMISSIONS: The Collection will commission works from time to time either in connection with an exhibition or otherwise.  Such commissions may be permanent or ephemeral, and commissioned works may be located within specific sites or enter the broader Collection.  Clients or venues may invite commissioned works from Collection artists through the Commissions Project.

CURATORIAL PROJECTS: The Collection will support curatorial projects which draw on works in the Collection or which augment the Collection through loans and commissions.  Such curatorial projects may be short or long term and may result in exhibitions in established galleries and museums, in commercial venues or in private contexts.  The Collection sees these projects as enhancing the recognition and exposure of Collection artists.  It is expected that projects of this nature will be self funding.

INSTALLATIONS: The Collection will provide for the commercial loan and installation of Collection artworks.  In certain circumstances the Collection will undertake commissions for works for specific sites and venues, providing a comprehensive service from conception through commission, production, installation and maintenance of new works in all media.
